When you think of French, you thing of France, Paris, Eiffel Tower, and countless bakeries baking incredibly delicious breads and pastries. Arguably, it is one of the top city of love and romance.
The language and its accent always intrigued me but not until I started to listen to French music. It was only a matter of time that I come across Jessica Paré’s version of Zou Bisou Bisou from one of Pandora‘s radio recommendations, where I fall in love with the mysterious, romantic, and playful nature of French music.
I immediately started to look more into French music and came across Couer de Pirate, especially her most famous, playful song, Ensemble:

These great discoveries of French music lasted good 6-9 months, until I discovered the once super famous but lost in the past music genre called Yé-yé from the 60’s. In fact, Zou Bisou Bisou was the first single of Gillian Hills, one of the artist that fueled Yé-yé movement, bringing my discovery of French music back in full circle.
